Our products' antimicrobial capabilities are achieved through the use of Nano-Silver. Silver holds a long history of being used as treatment for a number of ailments due to its natural antibacterial and antifungal properties. This Nano-Silver material releases Ag+ (silver) ions from its surface that are able to destroy compounds containing sulfur and phosphorus, such as those found in the DNA and proteins of contaminants like bacteria, viruses, or fungi. Destroying the DNA and proteins in this way inhibits the cellular metabolism and cell growth of pathogens that can cause infection, odor, sores, or itchiness. Nano-Silver has seen widespread use in the healthcare sector due to its highly effective, fast-acting success in eliminating harmful contaminants.

Medical Screen Protector/ Antimicrobial Touch Glass Films

Our medical screen protector is made of glasses which is chemically strengthened through a process of ion replacement. We submerge the glass in a bath of potassium nitrate (KNO3) at high temperatures. Sodium ions (Na+) are then replaced with potassium ions (K+). These K+ ions are able to fill gaps in the glass' surface, resulting in a strengthened final product. Using a similar ion exchange process, silver ions (Ag+) can be implanted onto both sides of a pane of glass, making it fully antimicrobial. Because these ions are transferred into the glass' surface itself, its antimicrobial capabilities are much more resilient. This means repeated disinfections and outside stimulus won't easily degrade the glass' antimicrobial properties, leading to longer product life and effectiveness.
